Benefits Of High-Pressure Drain Cleaning

If you have a blocked, slow or smelly drain, you’ll know just how frustrating it can be to try and unblock or clean out a drain, and just how inconvenient a dirty drain is.

While there are many different ways to clean and unblock a drain, from augers, to drain snakes and harsh chemicals, we think that the most effective and efficient way to clean and unblock a drain is with a high pressure water drain cleaner, also known as a drain jetter.

So what exactly is a high pressure water drain cleaner?

A high pressure drain cleaner works much like a gurney gun, on a much more powerful scale. A flexible hose, with an adjustable nozzle is inserted into, and pushed through your drain, using high pressure water to break up and disburse all clogs and debris.

What are the main benefits of using a high pressure drain cleaner?

1) High pressure drain cleaning is super effective

While there are various ways in which to clear a drain, a high pressure drain cleaner is generally successful in clearing blockages more effectively and more cleanly than many other methods. While a drain snake or chemicals might require a combination of methods to fully clear the drain, a drain jetter is generally able to resolve the blockage on its own. Furthermore, a drain snake and auger will often result in the blockage being brought to the surface and creating a mess of hazardous material, the drain jetter generally results in little mess.

2) High pressure drain cleaning is fast

A high pressure drain cleaner can often blow through clogs and blockages much faster than alternative methods for clearing the same blockage. There is little manoeuvring, poking and prodding which saves time (and money) on labour.

3) High pressure drain cleaning is often more cost effective

Unblocking a drain in traditional methods can take quite a lot of time, and uses expensive chemicals, where a drain cleaner often allows for your drain to be thoroughly cleared and cleaned in a very timely manner - saving you money.

4) As an added benefit high pressure drain cleaning is that it clears your drain lines in addition to unblocking them

In addition to simply removing the blockage from your drain, a high pressure drain cleaner thoroughly clears your drains, helping to eradicate sludge and further potential blockages, as opposed to just dealing with the current problem.

5) High pressure drain cleaning can aid in removing bad odours resulting from your drains

As mentioned in point 4 above, a high pressure drain cleaner thoroughly clears (and cleans) your drains - it doesn’t just remove the blockage. Drains that are blocked and dirty can result in high levels of bacteria which can cause foul smells to result from your drains. High pressure drain cleaning helps to eliminate these odours and flush the bacteria from your drains.
