How often do you need to service your hydronic heating system?

Do you have a hydronic heating system, if so, have you had it serviced yet this year?

Just like your car, or air conditioner, your hydronic heating system (whether an underfloor system or a radiant heating system made up of radiator panels and towel rails) requires regular servicing to ensure that it operates in its most efficient state.

Regular servicing of your hydronic heating system is also the most effective way to prevent future technical issues from occurring. If your hydronic heating system is left for years without being maintained, then a build-up of debris can occur. This can affect moving parts such as the valves, pumps and flow metres which will impact your systems performance. Taking a proactive approach now can resolve potential issues early, reducing the need for further maintenance and repair costs in the future and prolonging the life of your system.

So exactly how often should you have your hydronic heating system serviced?

We recommend that you have your hydronic heating system serviced annually. The ideal time to have your system serviced is early autumn, just before the weather cools enough for you to switch it on during the cooler months.

In addition to your annual service, we recommend that you contact us if you note any issues or feel like your system is not operating as it should.
